La tecnologia Radiation sfrutta la capacità del corpo di creare, immagazzinare e perdere calore utilizzando un materiale ultra-sottile che riflette l’80% del calore del corpo di nuovo al corpo. Viene inserita una coperta di alluminio in un tessuto traforato che mantiene caldo il ciclista nelle condizioni più fredde, senza ricorrere a ingombranti strati di materiale isolante.

Castelli has been at the forefront of essentially every
breakthrough in cycling clothing since we made wool shorts obsolete. With the introduction of Radiation technology last year, a new era of cold-weather riding comfort and performance was initiated.
Castelli Radiation is unique to cycling. It takes advantage of the way the body creates, saves and loses heat. The technology utilizes an ultra-thin, reflective material that reflects 80% of body heat back to the body. We’ve essentially turned space blanket aluminum film into a perforated fabric that keeps the rider warm in the coldest cycling conditions without resorting to bulky layers of insulating material, such as fleece.
The Insolito Radiation Jacket features a removable Radiation liner, removable sleeves, removable hood, and zippered front venting. More importantly, the Insolito’s outer fabric employs the most breathable Windstopper fabric available from Gore, which adds superb wind protection to the Radiation liner’s warmth. The Insolito delivers remarkable warmth and protection regardless of what Mother Nature throws at a rider.
Now you can have three-season comfort with one jacket, from mild 59 ºF to ice-cold and windy -20 ºF days, and the jacket feels equally comfortable.
